Testimonials - Shore View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

Testimonials

I remember the fear and anticipation I felt when I scheduled my spinal surgery. As I was browsing the internet to prepare myself for both the surgery and recovery, I was trying to understand how I would be able to function, recover and most importantly perform my everyday functions after undergoing an extensive 7-hour surgery. I knew that I needed to find a rehab center, and I didn’t know where to begin.

That same month, I was visiting my mother-in-law at Shore View and within minutes of being there and observing how she was being treated, I knew this place would be an ideal solution and answer to all my concerns. I’m happy and lucky to say, that my decision was the right one.

Once arrangements had been made for me to undergo my recovery at Shore View, I knew I was in good hands. The day of the surgery, Maya (the director at Shore View), called my house to wish me luck. Hours after I woke up after my surgery, Alex Makaryan (coordinator) was checking on my progress, surgery results, and actively communicating with all of the doctors. He then took it upon himself to work out all of the details and continued to work with my social worker at the hospital to ensure my rehabilitation needs were met.

From the first days or even minutes of my stay at Shore View to my very last day six weeks later, I was given a lot of attention, provided with the best of care, and always treated with support and love. I enjoyed the entire atmosphere of this center, from the beautiful lobby, great outdoor space, patient-engagement facility, state-of-the-art fitness center and great meals.

I want to say a special thank you to all of the health care providers in this center. I cannot thank you all enough for the service and support which you have all provided during my recovery stay here. I want to extend my gratitude to the wonderful Physical Therapy Department and all of its staff members. I got especially lucky from the very beginning of my stay by being assigned to Erica Shtarkman, Polak Patel, Nikita Karpman, and Amir Aboseria, and Nadejda Eber. All of you have shown me extensive expertise, your attention, ability to help me overcome pain, fear and occasional loss of faith and have continued to inspire me. I would also like to thank Ola Olatunsi, Holness Andrea, Eugene Kurpako, Etlya Fayerberg, Kvitelman Julia, Alex Makaryan, Evgeny Chen, Anna Konstaninova, and Araja Andrea. I understand that whatever strides I was able to make, I made them because of you. You make a great team of very hard working and dedicated professionals.

There are no words that can describe my gratitude to all of you, and I will never forget how much you all have helped me.

I cannot thank you all enough for the service and support which you have all provided during my recovery stay here. I want to extend my gratitude to the wonderful Physical Therapy Department and all of its staff members. Every single day, I’ve been a witness to the miracle work they are performing, and level of detail which is being offered to every single patient in the clinic. They give soo much attention, offer individual levels of care, devote themselves and oversee full cycle of the recovery on individual basis. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.

My name is Svetlana Landaus, I am 77 years old. I fell down and broke my neck and hip. I had surgery in Coney Island Hospital, and two days later I came into Shore View Rehabilitation Center. I have been here already almost six weeks and I am going to leave on July 12th. I would like to express my gratitude to Shore View Rehabilitation Center.

I liked everything here. I liked the food; moreover, if I needed anything in food, I had that the next day. When I needed help I pressed the button, and I had help in no longer than 2-3 minutes. All the nurses are so helpful, they are all in a rush to make everything for you.

I was on the 9th floor and I would like to express my gratitude to the nurses Natasha, Nastya, Justine, and the ENA’s Natasha and Anya. I cannot express all my feelings, there are amazing occupational therapists, oral therapists, and physical therapists. Erica is a genius, and Anthony and Nirav are so helpful and so attentive, they taught me how to use my cane. Anthony took for himself the responsibility of giving me the walker. Nirav took me to the street to go with cane and he usually works with me longer than one hour. He told me that his patients are members of his family. I am also thankful to Sal and Alex for their kindness.
